Magnus
Compact and affordable
Workshops starting in-house 3D printing, rings and pendants.
Products Rapid
DLP 3D printer · Jewelry casting
Prints 50–65 mm per hour at a 50µm layer thickness, with Pixel Optimization for smooth surfaces and crisp detail. A compact body that prints full casting trees, 200mm glass bangles, rings and chains.
Proven in Production
Real print runs on Rapid, on video.
Built for midrange to high-production jewelry factories that need speed and fine detail on one platform.
Rapid is the only printer in the range that comes in two versions: a bigger build area, or a finer pixel.
The larger platform fits more rings, chains and bangles into every print.
The smaller pixel gives crisper edges on fine filigree and small parts.
Both versions: 200 mm Z axis · 20,000-hour projector · long-life vat · 12-month warranty
The range
Need a smaller or a larger platform? Magnus and ProtoX use the same resins and software as Rapid.

Largest platform
High-volume production, full casting trees and large bangles.
ProtoResins
High-wax-content castable resins engineered for clean burnout, accurate gauges, consistent weights and smooth, casting-ready surfaces.
The Rapid prints at 50–65 mm per hour at a 50µm layer thickness. In real production, this translates to 30 rings in 30 minutes, a full platform of small glass bangles in 50 minutes, or a full platform of chains in 25 minutes , making it one of the fastest DLP 3D printers available for jewelry.
The Rapid is available in two versions: Version 1 offers a build volume of 190 × 107 × 200 mm, and Version 2 offers 160 × 90 × 200 mm. Both versions feature a 200 mm Z axis, allowing full-length casting tree printing and even complete 200 mm glass bangles in a single run.
The Rapid can print rings, chains, bracelets, pendants, bangles (including 200 mm glass bangles), earrings, and full casting trees. Its large body-to-platform ratio allows it to handle both intricate small pieces and large-format production items, making it suitable for midrange to high-production jewelry factories.
The Rapid achieves an XY resolution of 49 µm (Version 1) and 40 µm (Version 2), with a Z-axis layer thickness of 50 µm,which is enough for Jewelry Manufacturing. Pixel Optimization technology further enhances detail, producing smooth surfaces and crisp edges required for high-quality jewelry casting patterns.
The Rapid is designed to work with Protospeed's ProtoResins high-wax-content castable resins engineered for clean burnout during investment casting. These resins are formulated specifically for jewelry manufacturing, ensuring accurate gauges, consistent weights, and smooth surface finishes for casting-ready patterns.
The Rapid has a larger build platform and smaller pixel size than the Magnus, making it ideal for midrange to high-volume production. The Magnus (134 × 75 × 112 mm build volume) is a compact, affordable entry-level option, while the Rapid is suited for factories that need higher throughput and larger print capacity.
The Rapid uses a DLP projector with a 20,000-hour lifespan significantly longer than LCD screens found in consumer printers, which typically last around 2,000 hours. The long-life VAT can handle over 1,000 printing jobs, minimizing downtime from tray changes and platform recalibrations.
The Rapid comes with Protospeed Composing Software for slicing and print preparation. It accepts STL files, the standard format exported by all major jewelry CAD programs including RhinoGold, MatrixGold, 3Design, and CounterSketch. The printer connects via both Wi-Fi and Ethernet for flexible workflow integration.
